Margie Segress, MA, LMHC (She/Her)
Margie is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of WA who also holds a Master Degree in
Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute (where she is also currently a Ph.D candidate).
When in fear-based places of hurt, our focus tends to narrow—often to the point of losing sight of imaginative
directions and creative possibilities for our lives. Her aim is to assist in their rediscovery.
Margie’s love of story, as illustrator and former children’s book creator, is intricately interwoven into her work with clients. Through Jungian, Attachment-informed, Emotionally-Focused, and Narrative lenses (among others), Margie seeks to understand her clients’ respective stories and unique ways of being in the world.
Through identifying strategies necessarily adopted in facing life’s inherent struggles, Margie comes alongside her clients in a joint effort to bring consciousness to outdated and constrictive patterning, as the path through which her clients can access their own inherent wisdom and authenticity…and live into ever-increasing wholeness.
Margie has experience working with adults (ages 20+) and couples from a wide range of cultural backgrounds including race, ethnicity, nationality, ability, socio-economic status, spirituality / religion,
sexual orientation, and gender.
Margie's areas of experience include depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD /complex PTSD, self-esteem /
identity issues, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting, and spirituality.
"Amor Fate…a love of one’s story, a comprehensive understanding that whatever happens is happening
to me, a participant in the creation of my drama. Even my messes are my own; they are the turns I took in my story, and because my story is mine, I embrace and love it…This is my life."
