Elizabeth Anderson, EDS, MA, LMHC, GMHS
Elizabeth is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 20 years of experience in community health and wellness. She has worked in a variety of settings, including a rehabilitative pain
clinic, community mental health, and as the clinical director at an Area Agency on Aging.

Elizabeth has a wide range of experience in counseling and mental health, complex illness and chronic pain management, care coordination, and assisting others with navigating various health systems. She also has extensive experience in working with caregivers and specializes in aging and other life transitions.

Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Western Washington University and her Master’s and
Educational Specialist Degrees in Counseling at Seton Hall University. She is a certified Geriatric Mental
Health Specialist (GMHS) and is trained in Hypnotherapy, Biofeedback and Neurofeedback.

She has experience working with all ages of individuals and with their families and caregivers, providing both
individual and group therapies. 
As a counselor, Elizabeth offers a creative space and therapeutic tools to help individuals to reflect on
and process their experiences. She delivers trauma informed therapy in a variety of modalities,
including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness, Motivational
Interviewing, Supportive Therapy, and Strengths-based approaches.

Elizabeth meets people where they are at and delivers individualized tools and interventions that take into consideration
understanding and a non-judgmental approach to wellness. She implements a collaborative approach to skill building and creative problem solving to assist each person to explore their unique situation and learn new ways to navigate challenges.

Elizabeth enjoys participating in various continuing education classes to expand her knowledge and skills. She is currently learning more about creative approaches and is taking a professional training in
expressive arts at the NW Creative and Expressive Arts Institute.
